Julia K. Lockhart
Ms. Lockhart carries on a general civil litigation practice.
Ms. Lockhart graduated with a J.D. with honours from the University of Toronto in 2012, where she was the gold medallist. During law school, she received prizes in tax, conflict of laws and criminal law. After graduating from law school, she served as a Law Clerk to Justice Marshall Rothstein at the Supreme Court of Canada. Ms. Lockhart was called to bar in 2013. Prior to joining NST, she spent 21 months as an associate at a national law firm.
Before law school, Ms. Lockhart had a career in government where she worked as a procedural clerk at the House of Commons and as a policy analyst with the government of British Columbia. She also interned at the Legislative Assembly of B.C. and worked as a facilitator with the B.C. Citizens’ Assembly on Electoral Reform. Ms. Lockhart is fluent in French.
